Abstract
This final project presents the development and implementation of a mini weather station prototype that uses a wireless sensor network based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and Long-Range Wide Area Network (LoRa) technology. The aim of this research is to design a smart, effective, and efficient weather monitoring device with a wireless sensor network, delivering information based on IoT and LoRa at specific times and conditions. The measured parameters include weather conditions, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, air temperature, and humidity, utilizing Anemometer, Wind Direction, Tipping Bucket, and DHT22 sensors. These sensors are connected to an Arduino Uno microcontroller, which acts as the brain of the system and collects data. The weather data transmitted by two mini weather stations will be processed and stored in a previously created server. Additionally, a user interface will be developed to monitor real-time weather data and observe weather trends in informative graphical forms that will be loaded into a database and displayed on the web.
