Abstract
This study examines the challenges faced by educators in integrating project-based learning (PBL) into reading lessons, considering constraints related to time, resources, and activity design. The research seeks to uncover the strategies employed by teachers to harmonize structured lesson plans with inquiry-driven reading instruction, while also identifying obstacles encountered during the utilization Of PBL for reading and the effective methods adopted by educators to overcome these hurdles. Employing a case study methodology, the investigation aims to gain a comprehensive and profound comprehension of the dynamics surrounding students' reading proficiency at MAN 2 Mataram. The utilization Of project-based learning within reading activities fosters active student engagement with textual material, enabling them to delve deeply into themes, characters, and contextual dimensions through research, analysis, and creative expression. In conclusion, the integration Of project-based learning into student reading activities offers an innovative and transformative educational approach, necessitating the creation of an enabling domestic environment that supports reading, research, and project work by ensuring access to essential resources.
