Abstract

This research has purpose for knowing of direct learning model (direct instruction) aided teaching materials based contextual outcomes Applied Science students of SMKN 4 Mataram 2015/2016 school years on of material Temperature and Heat. This type of research is an experimental research study design with post test only control group design. The population in this study were all students in X class of SMK 4 Mataram academic years of 2015/2016, a number of 334 students. Sampling was done by purposive sampling techniques, the X class of Catering 2 consisting of 35 students as an experimental class and students of X class Catering 3 consisting of 36 students as the control class. Based teaching materials used contextually appropriate to the context of student life. The instruments used in the form of observation sheet for the assessment apektif and psychomotor tests multiple choise questions refers to the ability koognitif students (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6) as many as 25 items with due regard to the validity, reliability, different power and level of difficulty question. The research showed the average value of student learning outcomes experimental class and control class each at 61.38 and 49.07, both classes of normally distributed and homogeneous. Learning outcomes data was analyzed using t-test two parties with a significant level of 5% was obtained thitung 2.89 ttable 2.00 on db 57. According to criteria of hypothesis testing, if thitung> ttable, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. It can be concluded that there are significant influence learning model of Direct Instruction aided teaching materials contextually based on learning outcomes of applied science students of SMKN 4 Mataram academic year of 2015/2016.
