Abstract

The background of this reseach is the low mathematics achievement of students of class VIII H SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsari academic year 2012/ 2013 . This is because in each learning activity teachers tend to use the same teaching methods . The low mathematics achievement of students from low values seem odd semester grade is obtained . Thus , to overcome the problem of teacher proficiency level should use a variety of learning methods and in accordance with the conditions of the students in the class . Articulation learning method with media card unanswered question is one solution that can be applied in learning activities to enhance students' learning achievement of eighth grade math H SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsari . This research is a classroom action research was conducted in two cycles , each cycle includes four stages of the planning , implementation, monitoring and evaluation stage , and the stage of reflection . Furthermore , each cycle consisting of three meetings , meetings are the first and second phase of implementation , an evaluation meeting III . Based on the results of observations made by the observer to fill out a obseravasi that the average score of students in the first cycle indicator of 6.17 is categorized less active , then the observation of the second cycle an average score of 11.01 which indicators categorized students active . Furthermore , based on the results of the first cycle of evaluation of the average value of 68.09 students with classical completeness 65.22 % , then the second cycle of the average value of 73.83 students with classical completeness 95.65 % . Thus, based on indicators of the success of this study which states that the said student achievement increases when students' learning activities and minimal active category average student after conducting the evaluation reaches ≥ 65 and classical completeness ≥ 85 % after the implementation of the method of articulation with the media card answered questions . Then the method of articulation with answered questions the media card can boost student achievement in the sub material volume of prism and pyramid at class VIII H SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsari academic year 2012/ 2013 .
