Abstract

In the acoustic fisiopsychologic, human have ability to analyze the pressure fluctuation as the binaural to recognize direction of sound source on scalar unit. Of those ability, if using the sensors it will be hampered some problem of limited range sensors work. Furthermore, based those problem was developed a method to determine the sound source information using cross correlation between the signals. The signal received through a series recorders instead of the proximity sensors use a microfon condenser connected via the computer with the Matlab command to capture stereo signal in WAV format type. The signal will be compared with other signal separately to extraction signal that stereo signal at the certain distances to the point of recording. Those comparison value is the sampel rate signal product by cross correlation result at the maximum point, then it can be indentified the sound source is closer or away from the position of the recording as well as being on the left or right side of the point recording. To get accurate result used kind of signal as a comparison, the Signal Chirp, Gong and Signal Train already strored in the directory of matlab and also used signal pat that was recorded previousy and signal 1 KHz is raised in Matlab command editor. The identification process generating the kind of signal Chirp and Singnal Gong been identified completely because those signal has the harmonics, while for other the signal reached 60% sucess in indentifying.
