Abstract

The research aims to identify and assess the effects of changes in feeding ahead of cuts in feed consumption, body weight growth, feed conversion layer rooster was held on June 15 to July 20, 2016 are carried at the Teaching Farm Jln. Gora 2 Lingsar District of West Lombok. The material used in this study is 45 rooster tail DOC laying grouped into 3 treatment groups 3 replications and each replication consisted of 5 mice. Each treatment was given 100% commercial feed (P0), 75% of commercial feed and 25% of local feed (P1), and 50% of commercial feed and 50% of local feed (P2). Data were analyzed with ANOVA completely randomized design (CRD), followed by Duncan's multiple range test. The results showed the average feed consumption of roosters laying hens during the study 23.81 g / head / day (P0), 23.80 g / head / day (P1), and 23.75 g / head / day (P2). The average increase in body weight rooster laying on the 3 treatment during the study was obtained 11.51 g / head / day (P0), 11.91 g / head / day (P1), and 10.41 g / head / day (P2) , The average feed conversion of roosters laying on the 3 treatment for the research was obtained 2,07 (P0), 2.0 (P1) and 2.22 (P2). It was concluded that the change of feeding 2 weeks before the cuts show the influence was not significant (P> 0.05) on feed intake and feed conversion, but significant (P <0.05) body weight gain in male laying chickens.
