Abstract

Composite sandwiches have been developed and produced for various aspects of life today. Unsaturated polyester content combined with pin from plants such as the pin of bamboo plants that grows around us and polyurethane rigid foam as the core. The method of sandwich composite joints is very important when applied to construction such as window panels, walls, roofs, floors, and others. The method of angular spacing between pin and core Z-pin model is the discussion in this study. This study takes one models of research method that is the angle pins. to be calculated in two tests also the shear tensile and edge press tests. Composite sandwiches are made by vari method. The skins are made from a thin polyster resin reinforced with glass fiber fibers, while the cores are made of polyurethane rigid foam and added Z-pins from bamboo materials. Core cores are bonded between two outer skin layers. Z-pins made of bamboo will be stuck on a polyurethane rigid foam core with varying angles 60°, 75°, 90° and spacing between pins in each 10mm test with each pin length different according to the angle be variations.
