Abstract

Background: Nutritional factors play an important role in the development of human resource and quality of life as well as to longer life expectancy. Nowdays, globalization has changed the behavior of the population including the trend of diet that love more of instant food and non-homemade food. This results an increased incidence of obesity, diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolemia, coronary heart disease, and other non-communicable diseases. Students, especially medical students representing the different groups of society in general concerning nutrition. They are a group of people who have relatively high knowledge about nutrition. However, a study in Indonesia reported that about 20,1% of medical school students in Jakarta are overweight
