Abstract
Background: Mataram University is one of educational instances which included as free-smoking area arranged by the constitution. However, free smoking policy has not been accomplished in Mataram University because it less socialized. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the readiness of the leaders side towards the implementation of free-smoking policy at Mataram University. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional study design. The samples were the leaders of Mataram University who were (still active) actively give service and qualified inclusion criteria (n = 47). This study used the primary data which obtained through questionnaires related to the free-smoking policy. The statistical analysis used was Lambda correlation test, in order to determine the correlation between smoking status, attitudes and knowledge about free-smoking policy with the readiness on the implementation of free-smoking policy at Mataram University.
