This thesis entitled A Comparative Study on the Social Values in Songs “You’re Never Walk Alone” and Nasum “There’s No Escape”. The writer is interested in investigating the values that are implied in the lyrics of the songs especially, the social values that we can learn after listening or reading in the song by Hatebreed and Nasum. The instruments that were used in this study were documentary, library, records and cassettes. The method used in this study is descriptive comparative method, analyzing the contents related to social values. To analyze what social values included in these songs the writer describes the structure, expression and character of the songs. Besides, the deepest level of meaning and literal. Then, the writer compares the social values between Hatebreed Walk Alone” by Hatebreed and “There’s No Escape” by Nasum. This study is aimed at finding and comparing the social values in Hatebreed and Nasum songs. The populations are collected from the album in 1997-2009 of Hatebreed and in 1993-2008 of Nasum. The samples are Hatebreed “You’re Never and Nasum songs to find out the similarities and differences of them. On the basis of data analysis, the writer finds that the songs consist of good and bad conducts that refer to social values. They have deep meaning related to human conduct in real life.
