Abstract
This research was motivate d by low ability students of SMPN 2 Pujut in g eometry because the teachers were still using the paradigm of learning “ transfer of knowledge ” or a teacher center. Besides the lack of attention to the cognitive levels achie vement , so that the teachers have difficulty to detected the weaknesses of students in geometry. Therefore, an innovative effor t to study the effectiveness of TAI cooperative learning model and NHT cooperative learning model seen from learning outcomes and cognitive levels achievement of students. This research was quasi experimental aimed to investigat e the effectiveness of TAI cooperative learning model and NHT cooperative learning model seen from learning outcomes and cognitive levels achievement of students . The sample in this research was seventh grade A as an experimental I class and seventh grade B an experimental II class . Treatment given experimental I class by TAI cooperative learning model and experimental II class by NHT cooperative learning model . The re sults of pre - test analysis showed the experimental I and experimental II class depart ing at the same starting point. T he average of learning
