Abstract
Abstract: the main issues analyzed in this study is a form of sasak culture in the novel love in the land sasak shortness aji turmudzi work and the implications for the formation of the character of junior high school students. This research is qualitative. The method used in the data collection is the study of literature.Data analysis methods used to assess the sasak culture is a form of descriptive analysis method. Based on the analysis of data in this study indicate that: (l) being an ideal (idea) in the novel scts include marriage customs, social stratification and the system greeting. Customary marriage mate form of determination for girls nobility, seclusion before the wedding ceremony and purwangse. Social stratification in the form of the difference in treatment between the son of a nobleman with ordinary people and that marriage should be fellow nobles for aristocratic women. Greetings system in the form of greeting for the nobility that mamiq, then, and baiq. There is also a common greeting used by the two groups, namely amaq rari, inaq rari, bajang, master teacher, and dedare .; (2) the form of activity or action in the novel scts include mutual assistance in the wedding process, both interesting (elopement) and separating the bride and groom who are not approved.
