Abstract
This research aimed at analyzing the social values in The Queen Swallows Present and The Crane Lady and comprising those both of the story, thus in this research, the researcher focused on finding the social values and comprising the social values that was used in those both of story The data were acquired from a book entitled the more Asia stories. The data were analyzed by applying descriptive qualitative method with the structural approach. This research, the researcher, found that: the social values which were found in each both of those story were in the story of” the queen swallows present” was mostly the wholly story told about the family relation, how to live together with people who has family relation. Meanwhile, the story of the” crane lady”for instance told about social values in family life, and society life. This story was not telling about the life relation only associate with the community different from the story of” the queen swallows present” that told about how to live with the family relation only. Therefore, the both story clearly there were some different which “the crane lady” told the story wider than the story of “the queen swallows present”. These can be seen on the some events happened on the story, the conversation of the speakers and the some quotation-quotation which was containing about those of social afterward the researcher compared those of the story.
