Abstract
This thesis deals with Emily Dickinson’s concept of God In Some of Her Poems. The purposes of the study are to analyze the poems based on her background and her attitudes. I conducted this study by using descriptive qualitative design. In supporting this study, Emily Dickinson’s poems by Thomas Jhonson are used as the primary sources of the data, those are A Reflection of Emily Dickinson’s Concept About God in her several poems : What Is Paradise , I Never Saw a Moor, Those- dying then, There Comes an Hour When Begging Stops, Who were The Father and The Son, So Well That I Can Live Without, It's easy to invent a Life, God is Indeed A Jealous God, Over the Fence, In Some keep The Sabbath Going To Church, He fumbles at your spirit, In The hear tasks pleasure first, Tis One by One the Father counts, Of God we ask one favor, God made a little Gentian, and some books which are related to the topic. The data needed to support the study were obtained by conducting documentary technique. The analysis showed that Emily Dickinson blames God for her misery. She is doubt toward God existence in her life. It could be seen in Emily Dickinson’s life with all her problem in her life.
