Abstract

This thesis is aimed at analyzing the intrinsic elements of “RESCUE” focusing on the main character in the Rescue Novel by Nicholas Sparks. The method used in this research is qualitative and descriptive method. The data collected in the form of novel and by taking some references related to the story extract: from the novel in addition other data from reference. The data were grouped and sorted in the need to answer the research question. The research investigated the intrinsic element; Character and Characterization of Denise Holton and Taylor McAden. In character the two The characters are described as follow: Denise Holton are a patient, Loving, Optimistic, Obedient, Consistent and Stubborn, and Taylor McAden are an Optimistic, Stubborn, Loving, Volunteer, Obedient and Hero.
