Abstract
This study aims to determine the existence of weaving traditions and their implications for the sasak community in Sukarara Village, Jonggat District, Central Lombok Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. This research was conducted in Sukarara Village, Jonggat District, Central Lombok Regency. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this study indicate that the existence of a weaving tradition in Sukarara Village has existed since ancient times which began with the emergence of a type of songket weaving called subahnale, the existence of weaving traditions in Sukarara Village can affect the economic and educational life of the people in Sukarara Village, namely the existence of economic development and existence a social value in the weaving tradition that exists in Sukarara Village, Jonggat District, Central Lombok Regency.
