Abstract

This research aims to find of crude protein and crude fiber Mulato grass (Brachiaria Hybrid Cv. Mulato 1) are given fertilizer N (Urea) were planted on clay (Vertisol) in kawo central Lombok. This research have been carried out in the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Food (INMT) Faculty of Animal Science, of Mataram University, and the Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (Mathematics) of Mataram University. Grass used in this study are Mulato grass (Brachiaria Hybrid Cv. Mulato 1) the design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Such treatment includes different levels of fertilization, namely P0 (Control), P1 (100 kg N/ha), P2 (150 kg N/ha), P3 (200 kg N/ha), and P4 (250 kg N/ha). And variables observed in this study is crude protein and crude fiber. The results of this study showed that the crude protein content is highest at P4 treatment (7.04%) and protein content was lowest for the P0 treatment (4.61%) while the highest crude fiber content contained in the P0 treatment (28.80%) and crude fiber content was lowest for the P4 treatment (26.23%) of the study results significanty (P <0.05) on the content of crude protein and crude fiber mulato grass.
