Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the locus variability in blood plasma protein transferrin of yellow skin kampong chicken on the island of Lombok. This study used a sample of 84 yellow skin kampong chicken blood from 4 districts on the island of Lombok. Analysis of blood samples asing elektrophoresis method was carried out in the Imunobiologi Laboratory of the University of Mataram electrophoresis method. The results obtained that locus transferrin was controlled by three alleles, A, B and C with a frequency of 0,494; 0,488 and 0,018. There was genetic variability of locus protein transferrin, whit four kinds of genotipe, namely TfAA, TfAB, TfAC and TfBB with frequency 0,012; 0,940; 0,035 and 0,012. Chi square test results showed that the protein transferrin locus in a population of yellow-skinned chicken on the island of Lombok is in genetic equilibrium.
