Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of some type Additives Against digestibility of dry matter (KCBK) and organic matter (KCBO) straw silage corn (Zea Mays), has been held in the Analytical Laboratory of Nutrition and feed of Husbandry Faculty, Mataram University. Corn straw obtained in the sub-district Ombe Labuapi cut to the size of 3-5 cm. This study was divided into three treatments, namely: I. 800g maize straw treatment with the addition of 3% brown sugar, 3% urea. And 160 ml of water. II. 800g corn straw with the addition of 3% rice bran, 3% urea and 160 ml of water. III. 800g corn straw with the addition of 3% corn bran, 3% urea and 160 ml of water. The variables measured in this study are the main variables and auxiliary variables. The main variables include: digestible of dry matter and organic matter. While supporting variables include: fiber content. The data obtained in this study analyzed the variance using completely randomized design and treatments are significantly different tested further using Duncan't Multiple Range Test. The results of this study indicate that the use of several types of additives (brown sugar, rice bran and corn bran, was highly significant (P <0.01) against digestible of dry matter and organic matter. The highest digestible of dry matter obtained in treatment T1 (3% brown sugar) is 70,80% and the lowest was obtained at T0 (without treatment) is 62,52%, while the highest digestible of organic matter obtained in treatment T1 (3% brown sugar), namely: 75,05 % and the lowest was obtained at T0 (without treatment) is 66,35%. The conclusion that with the addition of some types of additives give real effect to increase digestible of dry matter and organic matter.
