Abstract
The study aims to determine the effect of incubation periode on local grass silage with starter BOS on Crude Protein (CP) and Crude Fiber (CF) contains. Held on May 21 - 29 July 2017 at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Feed Faculty of Animal Husbandry, University of Mataram. The material used in the research was the starter BOS, local grass, palem sugar a solution and rice bran. Research carried out by completely randomized design with 8 incubation period as a treatment of 3, 6, 9,12, 15, 18, 21, and 24 days and each of the 3 replicates. Variable observed were the levels of crude protein and crude fiber contains. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance of completely randomized design (CRD) at the 5% significance level and to know the real difference between the treatment continued with Duncan's multiple range test. incubation periode results showed a significant effect (P <0.05) level Crude Protein and crude fiber. The longer incubation resulted in increased levels of crude protein amounted to 17.46% from 11.74% in the incubation of 3 days to 13.72% on 24 day incubation, whereas crude fiber content decreased by 6.09% from 46.57% in the incubation 3 days to 43.73% at 21 days of incubation.
