Abstract

This research aimed to study the irrigation equipment by using Sprinkle System Spectrum 360° Adjustable Flow and design a sprinkle system with distance and suitable water pressure for irrigation water distribution uniformity of the mustard plants in poly bag plastic. The method used in this study was experimental methods in the field. The research was conducted in two phases: design, performance and test phase. A preliminary investigation to determine the sprinkle optimum pressure sprinkle of 1.2 kg/cm2, 1.4 kg/cm2 and 1.6 kg/cm2 sprinkle spaced 2 meters. Sprinkle irrigation systems assembled Spectrum 360° Adjustable Flow was based on the value of the smallest variance. On stage performance test was conducted by measurement the value of CU (coefficient Uniformity) determined the level of uniformity of the reach sprinkle accommodated overlapping manner at some point and the measured sample volume. Then it was measured the average crop water requirement in the early phase and vegetative phase. Analyzed by using T-test with a confidence level of 95 %. The measurement results showed discharge in the main channel of 541 ml/sec, the distribution channels amounted to 180.33 ml/sec, and a sprinkle of discharge at 15.114 ml/sec with a total loss (head losses) was 5.056283 meters. For the determination of major head losses was solved by numerical methods with AJ Design Software. The resulting optimum distance of 200 cm between sprinkle with pressure was 1.6 kg/cm2. Uniformity Coefficient value spread of uniformity (CU) at sprinkle irrigation equipment Spectrum 360° Adjustable Flow was classified either according to the criteria of uniformity level operation sprinkle irrigation system that was 78.74 %.
