Abstract
This research is focused on the teaching strategy that used by the teacher (Yoshitaka Tsubota) in “flying colors” movie. The purposes of this study are:To find what the teaching are used by the teacher (Yoshitaka Tsubota) in teaching his student in “Flying Colors” movie, 2. To find how the teacher (Yoshitaka Tsubota) motivate his students in studying in “Flying Colors” movie. This research is a qualitative research which means the data collected were graphics, words, photos, or sounds. The data were collected and grouped as primary and secondary data by watching the movie, reading related sources, analyzing the teaching methods, teaching media, and classroom management from the movie. The results of this research revealed the teaching and learning activity there were 4 (four) principles of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) implements by the teacher (Yoshitaka Tsubota) such as constructivism, questioning, reflection, authentic assessment. The result also revealed that the teacher (Yoshitaka Tsubota) uses various methods to motivated his students in teaching and learning based on which is best to apply in teaching and learning process such as Lecture method, Experimental method, and Discussion method.
