Abstract

Drought is a natural disaster that reduces the availability of water in nature. Reduced of water availability is certainly caused by various factors that can harm the environment and living creatures. One of the factors that cause drought is the decrease in rainfall average, resulting in a decrease in surface of water is in rivers, lakes and groundwater that is included in hydrological drought. Given the effects of the droughtcatastrophe that can harm for living creatures and the environment, it is necessary to analyze the hydrological drought index on rivers affected by the droughtexposed to the land of irrigationin order to face this drought. This research aims to determine the volume of the drought deficit, hydrological drought index and droughtaffected area of the irrigation on Moyot River, East Lombok Regency. The method for analyzing the hydrological drought in this study is the threshold limits method. Where to use the flagship debit Q80 as the threshold. If the discharge of availability is under the limits of Q80 threshold, a deficit occurs. Next to determine the drought hydrological index is by comparing the volume of the deficit with irrigation water needs. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that in January 2006 in the second period the water availability on the Moyot River is 0,05 m3/second with Q80 flagship debit or the threshold value of 0,35 m3/sec where the discharge availability is under the drought threshold then there is a discharge deficit of -0,30 m3/second which means on the Moyot river began to occur drought at the time. The maximum hydrological drought index occurred in February2007 of the first period with the value of IKH of -0,30 which belongs to the criteria is very dry. Based on the data on the planting area of irrigated technical irrigation of Kermit watering, the area of irrigation affected by the most severe drought occurred in the year 2016 with IKH-0,08 with very dry criteria. Total area of all irrigation affected areas in 2016 in the planting season I, II and III which is the area of 2965 Ha.
