Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability to write anecdotal texts in class X MIA 1 students of SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsari. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. Data collection methods and techniques used in this study are test methods. Data analysis method used is quantitative analysis method. The results of research on the aspect of the accuracy of the title showed that 16 students scored 20, 9 students got a score of 15, and 1 student got a score of 10 with an average value of 17.88. In the aspect of the theme's actuality shows that 13 students scored 20, 10 students got 15, and 3 students got 0 with an average score of 15.76. In the aspect of completeness of the structure shows that all students get a score of 15 with an average value of 15. In the aspect of attractiveness anecdotes indicate that 3 students score of 20.15 students get a score of 15.5 students get a score of 10, 2 students get a score of 10 5, and 1 student got a score of 0 with an average value of 13.26. In the aspect of the accuracy of the use of anecdotal text rules, it shows that 2 students scored 20.16 students got a score of 15, and 8 students got a score of 10 with an average value of 13.84. Based on the results of research on each of these aspects shows that students of class X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsari are able to write anecdotal texts with an average value of 75.57 with the highest value of 90 and the lowest value of 50.
