Abstract

This thesis is entitled “An Analysis of Main Character and Conflict in Post Jean Paul Sartre’s Play, No Exit”. This study was aimed to analyze main character, what kind of conflict is raised in this drama and the contribution of those conflicts toward the development of main character’s personality and behavior. The method used in this research is qualitative and descriptive method. The data were collected in the form of drama and by taking some references related to the story as the analyzed data. The data were grouped and sorted based on the research question. Moreover, there are many things that we can get from this drama such as conflict can influence our personality and behavior and about the facticity is something which is unavoidable and cannot change by human. The are some conflicts are raised in No Exit, one of conflict that we found in No Exit is when they remember how they die and how they live during in the earth. It makes them become unstable in order that the conflict are raised. In No Exit, the contribution of some conflicts influence the development of main characters personality and behavior.
