Abstract

This research is aimed to find out students’ learning styles and what styles are more dominant to the second grade students ofMTs. Al-AziziyahPutriGunung Sari academic year 2015/2016. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The samples are second grade students (VIII 6 class). The total of population at second grade is 158 students, where 31 students were taken as the samples. The data was collected by giving questionnaire with 15 questions, through class observation and interviewed some students. After analyzing and computing the collected data, it was identified that: (1) second grade students ofMTs. Al-AziziyahPutriused combination of VAK learning styles in their learning English process, (2) the finding showed that 19 students is kinesthetic style or 61%, 3 students is visual or 10%, 3 students is auditory or 10%, 5 students combine in kinesthetic and visual or 16%, and only 1 student combine in kinesthetic and auditory or 3% from the data of the questionnaire. (3) the most preferred style in second grade students is Kinesthetic learning style.
