Abstract

This thesis entitled “An Analysis of intrinsic elements of the end of the party: a short story by Graham Grenee” is aimed at analysing the intrinsic elements of the short story.Intrinsic elements are the element which constuct the short story by the inside.The method of analyzing the short story used in this thesis was the qualitative method.In analyzing the data, the writer use objective or structural approach which only focuses on the intrinsic element of Graham Greene' The End Of The Party.The data collecting technique were library research and also browsing the internet. The intrinsic elements that the writer analysis in the short story were just focusing on theme,character,setting,plot,point of view,style and the interrelation of each elements of short story. These elements were defined firstly based on the opinion of experts, and they analyzed on by one by one based on the relevant source.
