Abstract

CONCLUTION ( ABSTRACT NOT AVAILABLE ): The results of this study showed that the students in experimental group whic h is treated by using comic book got better development in achievement differ from control group which is treated with plain text. The differences of achievement are divided into two specifics explanation. First, the results of posttest score of experiment al group had significant difference with the results of its pretest score compare with pretest score of control group which had little development in posttest score. Secondly, the difference in students’ achievement between the groups is shown on the devel opment of mean score (posttest). The group that used a comic book as a medium in improving vocabulary got better improvement in mean score of posttest scores (68.0) than those without a comic book (56.7). Thus, the results proved that comic book can imp rove students’ achievement in learning vocabulary
