Abstract
East Praya Sub-district is one of sub-districts located in Central Lombok regency which is a producer of curly chilli pepper in Central Lombok, limited input must be allocated optimally by farmers in order to obtain maximum profitability. The purpose of this research is 1) to know the cost that farmers need in doing chilli curry farming; 2) Knowing the farmers' income on the curly pepper farm; 3) Analyze the feasibility of chilli pepper farming; 4) Analyze the potential development of chilli pepper farming. This research was conducted in East Praya Subdistrict by taking the research location by “purposive sampling” with the details of Replace Village as many as 15 respondents and Beleka Village as many as 11 respondents Ganti by "proportional random sampling". The results showed that the total cost of chili pepper farming is Rp. 4.555.636 / LLG or Rp. 16.115.181 / Ha in one planting season. The average income of chili pepper farming is Rp. 15.145.595 / LLG or Rp. 53,576,248 / Ha in one planting season. The value of R / C ratio of chilli curry farming amounted to 4.3 which means that each expenditure cost of Rp 1 will be obtained profit of Rp. 4.3 then it can be concluded chilli curling farming in say worthy. Internal factors that become strength consist of skilled human resources; agro-climatological conditions and the availability of facilities and infrastructure, and weaknesses consisting of weak capacity and farmer institutions; marketing that has not been well ordered and limited access to capital. While the external factors that become opportunity consists of increasing consumer income; the existence of regional autonomy and government policy, and the threat consists of price fluctuations; still low budget allocation and lack of technical support.
