Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out and classify students misbehavior in the classroom and teachers strategies to deal with them at SMP Negeri 4 Narmada in the academic year 2016/2017. Questionnaire was given to the sample of population which comprise 80 students in 3 classes and 21 teachers. The result of the data analysis shows the types of misbehavior occuring in the classroom are attention-getting, power-seeking, revenge-seeking, and inability showing behavior. Meanwhile, the strategies that the teachers use to deal with students classroom misbehavior are pre-empting, reprimand & punishment, and pastoral care. Keywords:
