Abstract

Geographic Information System (GIS) with the ability to build, store, manage and display geographically referenced information has become an alternative to show an existing condition of a region. GIS development through ArcView 3.3 as the map view with Ms. Access as the database and Delphi which use the concept of GUI (Graphical User Interface) as the programming language that will ease programmer to design the display or user interface will be able to produce a GIS application program to perform the analysis of agricultural potential which focus on the analysis of Rice Milling Unit (RMU) needs in Indonesia, especially at Sub-district of Gerung in which the research takes place. Sub-district of Gerung which has 21.513 ton of rice production still does not have valid rice mill data. Limited information about rice mill has become one of the obstacles in developing or procuring rice milling in a region, including Sub-district of Gerung. From the results of the sensitivity analysis; the need of RMU is influenced by the amount of rice production and the working capacity of RMU in that region. From the results of the economic analysis, RMU One Phase is the fastest one to reach the breakeven. In addition, this grinding machine also has the highest value of B / CR and IRR. RMU Multi Phase has the highest NPV. Keywords:
