The factors influencing the students problems were: the students were still confused when they used elliptical elements like: too, so, either and neither, applying the kinds of appropriate auxiliary verbs, the explaination about elliptical sentence from the teacher was not easy to understand, the library did not supply any textbook about elliptical sentence, and the students were not allowed to borrow some book for study at their house based on the library rules.
