Abstract
The purpose of this internship activity is to help students in expanding insight into the efficiency of using packaging and canning of products agricultural products that can protect agricultural products from physical hazards (vibration, shock, etc.), and protect from microclimatic conditions outside the package (humidity, temperature, etc.), improve students' abilities when working in teams and time discipline as well broaden the knowledge and experience of students in the field of agriculture. Use packaging of mangoes using net foam at JA Okinawa is done manually by workers and assisted by students. The packaging process includes:1.Sorting Process (Shimpetsu) of Mangoes, Mangoes are sorted into several groups namely groups A, B, and C. In the grouping of mangoes there areseveral sizes such as 5L, 4L 3L, 2L, L, and M sizes., 2.Mango Fruit Packaging Process Using Net Foam. In the packaging process There are several sizes of net foam used, namely: 1) size 9; 2) size 10; 3) size 11 and 4) size 12. Pineapple canning is one of the ways JA Okinawa processes pineapples for the purpose of extending their shelf life use and consumption of pineapple fruit. There are several activities carried out in the process canning ie:1. Pineapple Sorting ,2.Cleaning, 3. Stripping, 4. Disposal of leftover pineapple peel or metori, 5. Sorting Cut Pineapple Or Shinbetsu, 6. Pineapple Stuffing, 7. Filling of Canned Pineapple Syrup, 8. Exhausting, 9. Can Closing And Sterilizing Pineapple Cans, 10. Sterilization. Canned pineappleproduced has a durability for a period of 3 years.
