Abstract
The thesis entitled “ An Analysis of Main Character‟s Personality and Interaction in Adam Shankman‟s Movie A Walk to Remember. The objective of the study are to know the personality and the types of interaction of main characters in the movie. This thesis used a descriptive qualitative method that describing the facts, data or material objects. In this study, the data in this study were taken from the movie, based on the dialogue and the scenes .The method of collected data by taking from the movie itself and the script of the movie. In this thesis, the writer find 2 main characters, they are: London carter and Jamie Sullivan. London Carter have variety personality, they are: immature, responsible, forgiving, faithful, and optimistic. Meanwhile Jamie Sullivan‟s personality are: smart and ambitious, happy and cheerful, religiously. In this movie, writer find 2 kind of social interaction, they are: personal interaction and personal-group interaction
