Abstract

This research aims to: (1) Knowing the costs and revenues of onion farming in Districts Plampang; (2) Analyze the factors that influence the production of onion production in District Plampang; (3) Analyze the efficiency of input use in the production of onion farming in District Plampang. The method used is descriptive method, while the data collection done by survey techniques. The analytical tool used is the Cobb-Douglass and Efficiency Analysis. The results showed: (1) The average cost of production on onion farming in the district of Sumbawa Regency Plampang, The second planting season 2015, amounted to Rp 53.665.250/arable land area/planting season or Rp 45.985.646,96/ha/planting season. The average production of 11.566,67kg/ arable land area/planting season or 9.911,45 kg/ha/planting seaso, with a selling price of Rp 12,500/kg, the obtained value of production amounted to Rp 144.583.333,33/arable land area/planting season or Rp 123.893.173,38/ha/ planting season. Average income of Rp 81.864.400/arable land area/planting season or Rp 70.149.443,02/ha/planting season with R/C ratio of 1,31; (2) The production factors significantly affect the increase in production is the NPK, supplements, and labor. While seeds, urea, KCl, SP 36 fertilizer, and pesticide, Furadan insignificant affect the productivity of onion in District Plampang Sumbawa Regency, at 5% significance level; (3) The ratio of Value Marginal Product or Nilai Produk Marginal (NPMxi) with Price Average Production Factor (Pxi) each variable nothing is worth the same as one. The use of factors of production of seed, urea, NPK, SP-36, the pesticide Furadan (kg), pesticides (lt), and labor is not efficient. While the use of KCl and supplement inefficient plants. The use of seeds, urea, NPK, SP-36, the pesticide Furadan (kg), pesticides (lt), and the labor needs to be improved its use. whereas KCl and plant supplements should be reduced, having reached the maximum usage. Suggestions: (1) Increase the intensity of counseling, especially with regard to efficiency; (2) Increase teknologi agriculture human resources and improve the quantity and quality of production. So as to become one of the commodities in the regions.
